Water is a very scarce resource in Puerto Madryn. All the water consumed comes from Trelew through two aqueducts, which are already insufficient to supply this ever-growing city. Therefore, there are restrictions on its use, especially during the summer, when demand increases significantly. Here are some points to keep in mind.
DRINKING WATER: The apartment's water is potable and safe for consumption.
RESTRICTIONS: From November to March, watering and washing vehicles and sidewalks are prohibited from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
SCHEDULED CUTS: In order to maintain the city's water supply, scheduled water cuts are carried out in sectors every three days during the summer months. These cuts usually take place from 10 p.m. the day before until midnight on the assigned day.
USE WISELY: It is important not to waste water, especially on days when there is a cut in our sector. It is also a good idea to do the most water-intensive tasks (such as showering) as early as possible the day before, so that the reserve tank can fill up completely before the cut takes place.
